Health Dialog announced today that its Shared Decision Making® patient support tools were recognized by the Center for Plain Language with a ClearMark Award, and by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) with an AVA Award. A study recently published in BMC Medical Informatics & Decision Making highlights the influence Shared Decision Making (SDM) has on lowering medical costs. The study, authored by David Veroff, Senior Vice President, Innovation at Health Dialog, examines the impact of health coaching for patients with risk for back, hip or knee surgery.
