Management team

Robert Mandel, MD, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Robert Mandel was named Chief Executive Officer of Health Dialog in January of 2013. Dr. Mandel has more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in health systems and health plan management. Prior to his role of Chief Executive Officer, he served as Chief Commercial Officer  at Health Dialog. Before joining Health Dialog, Dr. Mandel served as Senior Vice President of Health Care Services for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Vice President of Health Care Services for BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts.

After attending Princeton University, Dr. Mandel received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Mandel also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia.

Dr. Mandel is a graduate of the AAHP Leadership Program, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Physician Executives.

Peter Goldbach, MD, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Peter Goldbach brings more than 30 years of experience to Health Dialog’s management team, including 15 years of experience in medical administration and 17 years maintaining a primary care and pulmonary disease practice. Prior to joining Health Dialog, Dr. Goldbach served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Med-Vantage Inc., a healthcare informatics and engagement company. Before that, Dr. Goldbach was Medical Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where he provided medical direction for the company's "Pay for Performance" and eHealth programs. In other previous roles, Dr. Goldbach has held CEO, trustee, and medical staff president positions with two Boston-area community hospitals. 

Dr. Goldbach received an undergraduate and master's degree from UCLA and his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at George Washington University Hospital, and his Pulmonary Disease fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center / UCLA School of Medicine.

Gregg Spiro, Chief Financial Officer

Gregg Spiro brings 20 years of experience in both finance and business to Health Dialog as its Chief Financial Officer. Before this role, Gregg served as Vice President of Operational Finance. His previous duties included partnering with business unit leaders to understand financial implications of decisions, pricing, and working on Corporate Development activities.

In addition to holding a number of finance and management positions in a variety of industries including business services, education, and distribution, Gregg spent 7 years in the private equity industry where he worked on both corporate finance and restructuring activities. Prior to joining Health Dialog, Gregg was Managing Director at Aequitas Capital Management and Causeway Partners and an associate at Triumph Capital.

Gregg received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont in Economics where he graduated Summa cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Jeff Doctoroff, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Jeff Doctoroff is a corporate and health care lawyer with over 15 years of  wide-ranging legal experience.  Jeff joined Health Dialog's legal department in 2006 and was appointed as General Counsel in October 2009.  Prior to joining Health Dialog, Jeff practiced law with the Boston office of Ropes & Gray, a major international law firm, specializing in transactional work.  Jeff received his A.B. from Harvard College and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.

David Veroff, Senior Vice President, Innovation

David Veroff has more than 25 years of experience in health care analytics, client and program development, and research working with health purchasers, providers, and public policy makers. He joined Health Dialog in 2001 and has held a variety of operational and development leadership roles. 

Before joining Health Dialog, David was National Director of Client Services for the Picker Institute, led targeted policy research projects in the USHHS Inspector General’s Office, and was a consultant with the Health Data Institute.  After undergraduate training at Michigan State University, David received a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University. 

David is active in industry workgroups including co-leading for the past 3 years the Care Continuum Alliance’s Quality and Outcomes Committee.  He has published research articles and reports on topics ranging from regulatory management and oversight of numerous Federal and State programs to reporting on the initial demonstration of the CAHPS survey to the assessment of the benefit of heart failure decision aids.

Liz Horgan, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Product Solutions

Liz is responsible for leading Health Dialog’s marketing, public relations and product development functions.  With more than 20 years of experience in health care, Liz focuses on product solutions, new product development, positioning, thought leadership promotion and the company’s brand.  She also has experience with payers, employers and health care organizations in strategy development, market analysis and new solution development.

Prior to joining Health Dialog, Liz worked at Aetna, Cigna, Mercer, and the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Northern California, and is a frequent presenter at conferences on marketing strategy and innovation.  Liz is a graduate of Harvard College with an A.B. in English Literature.

David Barlow, Senior Vice President, Operations

David joined Health Dialog in September 2008 bringing with him 30 years of international executive experience in customer service, account management, and operations. His prior role was Senior Vice President of Account Services for Iron Mountain where he created and implemented a culture changing service delivery model focused entirely on client delight. At Eastman Kodak David was responsible for worldwide service systems, field service teams and high volume contact centers. He also has a background in information technologies including 3 years as CIO of Concentrix in Rochester, New York.

David earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Information Systems at Clarion University in Pennsylvania.

David Morris, Senior Vice President, Sales & Services

David joins Health Dialog with over 25 years of accomplished professional work experience, encompassing sales, business development and client services for healthcare-focused technology and services companies.  David brings business relationships and extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, having been most recently Vice President for SAP America's Healthcare business working with leading payers & providers and a national account team. Prior to SAP, David was responsible for establishing and managing IMS Health's top tier payer customer base as their Vice President of Business Development.

Laurie Fiola, Vice President, Human Resources

Laurie Fiola brings more than 20 years of experience within the field of human resources, principally with Fortune 500 organizations.  Laurie joined Health Dialog in 2010 as the Director, Human Resources and was appointed as Vice President, Human Resources in June 2012. 

Prior to Health Dialog, Laurie worked within a broad spectrum of industries including Pepsi-Cola, McGraw-Hill, Harris Corporation, GE-Harris Aviation Systems, and Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt. Laurie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from St. Catherine University with a BA in English and continued with graduate work at the Baruch College/Cornell University program in Industrial and Labor Relations.

Daniel Poch, Vice President, Global Sales

With extensive experience selling total population health programs to accounts nationally, 
Dan is responsible for all sales and new business revenue for the company.  He brings over  20 years of health care experience to this role with Health Dialog leveraging his focus on consumer behavior and engagement. 

Dan previously worked for other innovative health and productivity organizations, including successful startup firms Lumenos and Limeade.  Prior to that, Dan worked for UnitedHealthcare and other leading national carriers in various sales and sales management capacities.  He is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Business.

Jill Gribb Bell, Vice President, Global Client Services

Jill Bell serves as Vice President of Global Client Services.  Prior to joining Health Dialog in 2004, Jill was Vice President of Strategic Planning for Inamed, a mid-cap, public medical device company, sold to Allergen in 2006. At Inamed, Jill was responsible for business development, global marketing, market research, and new product development. Prior to joining Inamed, Jill served as an independent strategy, operational and leadership consultant, focusing on Fortune 100 clients, including Tenet Healthcare, Harley Davidson and Lockheed-Martin.  At Tenet, Jill acted as entrepreneur-in-residence where she founded a multi-million dollar e-learning subsidiary providing on-line nursing education and degree programs. In her 12 years of consulting, Jill’s clients spanned several industries including healthcare, financial services, Information Technology, and Aerospace. Jill began her consulting career at Symmetrix, managing a three-year account relationship with CIGNA Health Insurance, as well as other healthcare and financial service clients.

Jill has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University where she was a General Motors Scholar. She also serves as a trustee for a private k-8 school in Santa Barbara, CA.

Pete Aldrich, Vice President, Program Strategy & IT Operations

Pete Aldrich serves as Health Dialog’s Vice President of Program Strategy and IT Operations.  Pete joined Health Dialog in 2005 and during his time here has held leadership positions within the Client Services, Client Data Operations, Program Office and IT organizations. 

Pete has over 10 years of management experience gained in a variety of sectors including, Healthcare, Health & Welfare Benefits Administration, Human Resources and Online Advertising.  Pete came to Health Dialog by way of Fidelity Investments, where he led large scale client implementations within their Health & Welfare practice.  Prior to Fidelity, Pete led the business development team for Engage Business Media, a CMGi company focused on providing online advertising for the business to business space.

Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College and an MBA from Franklin Pierce University.

Greg Cornellier, Vice President, Systems Engineering

Greg Cornellier comes to Health Dialog with over 20 years of experience in information technology, software development, systems operations, business systems analysis, and product management with a proven track record in multiple industries including; manufacturing, healthcare, and enterprise software solutions. Before joining Health Dialog, Greg most recently served as VP of Development at IntegriChain, a software-as-a-service based business intelligence and analytics company. Prior positions also include VP of Engineering and Information Technology at K-Motion Interactive and Chief Technology Officer at I-many.

Greg earned his MBA and a MS in Computer Information Systems at the Southern New Hampshire University, where he also served as a member of the graduate adjunct faculty, teaching IT courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
