Health Plans: How Are You Engaging Members in Wellness?

Health Dialog to Highlight Wellness that Works at AHIP Institute 2012

BOSTON, Mass. – June 20, 2012 – A staggering 50-70% of all medical costs are attributable to avoidable behaviors and lifestyle choices . To combat this statistic, the payor market must find ways to better engage their members in wellness programs that work.

Health Dialog, a leading provider of healthcare analytics and decision support, will host a discussion at this year’s AHIP Institute to discuss a new approach to wellness, delivered through its WELLNESS Dialog® offering.

The WELLNESS Dialog program engages members in wellness from start to finish, beginning with lifestyle-based predictive models and a first-of-its-kind well-being assessment that identify individuals not only with red-flags but also yellow flags, so symptoms are addressed before they develop into issues. Members are then matched with carefully tailored plans that include online learning, games and challenges, behavior change incentives, and telephonic health coaching.

The online portion of the WELLNESS Dialog program is powered through an alliance with wellness company, Limeade. Health Dialog will be joined by Limeade in this presentation and will walk attendees through how to deliver real and lasting behavior change. Speakers will cover the program’s industry-leading engagement rates, innovative member-focused techniques, and customizable structure that can mold to fit a plan’s objectives.

Attendees from all media outlets, industries, and levels of management are encouraged to attend or contact Health Dialog for more information. In addition the AHIP Institute 2012 website, including full agenda, speakers and content can be found here.
