Craig Russell Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Craig Russell has over 23 years experience in healthcare with special emphasis on disease management and decision support systems for payers. As Executive Vice President of SHPS, Mr. Russell led healthcare strategy while managing marketing and business development. As President and CEO of CareWise, Inc., Mr. Russell led the company in its business-to-business strategy growth, increasing membership from 3 million to over 9 million members and managing a successful acquisition by SHPS. Before joining CareWise, Inc., Mr. Russell was co-founder and GM of Health Decisions International, a healthcare decision support company (acquired by WebMD) the Travelers’ Center for Corporate Health (now Optum), and served as the manager of health services and organizational development at Versatec, a Xerox Company. Mr. Russell holds a BS in Health Sciences from the University of Maine and MS in Management and Organizational Development from USF.
