Our Shared Decision-Making® approach helps employees work more effectively with their physicians to manage their overall healthcare needs. Health Coaches establish a relationship of trust with employees and their families, incorporating each person’s individual characteristics and motivation level to better serve his or her needs. We present unbiased, evidence-based information and support to help individuals handle a vast range of medical issues, such as managing their chronic conditions, deciding among different treatment options, finding the best way to care for an injury, and more. Employees develop the skills they need and the trust in their Health Coach to make informed decisions with their physician.
We realize the special connection an employer has with its employees, and use this relationship to help further promote appropriate use of the program. Onsite occupational health staff or management can help educate employees about Health Dialog’s tools and resources, enabling Health Dialog to engage more individuals who can benefit from a Health Coaching intervention.
